Boy, I was going to start a thread on exactly this subject, but happened in different conditions. Here's what happened. Just connected to Audi Connect today, and other than my PIN not working, WiFi started working, but immediately disconnected my telephone from Bluetooth (and no, not connected to a USB port, which you cannot do both on this car). Went to media source and my BT just said 'not available'. Then a stupid screen didn't go away saying I needed to connect my phone to MMI. So since BT wasn't working, I connected it to a USB port, and enabled WiFi. It worked, but still couldn't hear Spotify. So disconnected it from the USB port, disconnected WiFi on my phone, went to the telephone module and enabled BT 'music device' and it finally started streaming. Okay, cool, so shut off car and got out. When I came back, BT was on, so great news. But wait, there's no sound. WTF? Everything was fine, with the file streaming, etc, but NO SOUND. Tried the USB stick, and same thing: Song playing, with file running, but NO FREAKING SOUND. Switched to radio, and both sources (radio and XM) worked perfectly. Just no media. What? Okay, so time to shut off Audi Connect. Put WiFi in 'NEVER', but still didn't work. THen, the only other setting that made sense was 'DATA MODULE OFF', so I turned it off, and problem wasn't fixed. Okay, let's try again shutting off radio (by holdling power button for 2 sseconds), now with the car stopped. Turned it on again (ignition on only), and now media worked. Okay, good. Let's now try WiFi again. Then I found the screen OP mentioned. Can't even get to settings. I thought by turning data module OFF I permanently erased the info or something. But that doesn't make sense, and now I'm starting to think it's an issue with AudiConnect, no? Or is it a bug in the MMI??? Has anybody ever experienced not having sound in media only? That was bizarre. Have to travel on Sunday, and don't want to be without Spotify. I guess will call AudiConnect and see if they can reset the POS. I shouldn't have deleted anything by turning data module off, right?
Oh, and another annoyance: Another stupid blue screen started popping up like 10 times on a trip that if I was sure I wanted to turn data on, that could be charges, or something to that effect. Is there a way to turn that damn thing off??? Starting to think this stupid AudiConnect might be the source of all problems. My radio was working perfectly before, although I've only owned the car for a few days. Since I don't plan to renew this thing, I'm starting to think to leave that POS alone. Comments welcome
. Thx.
