The N’Fera SU1 is your summer tire of choice when navigating through a sudden storm or cruising....... So this is what the Nexen tire page says about it. Has anyone had any first hand experience with these tires on their cars? It's a possibility being that I need new tires bad.

The Nexen SU1 tires came on my car when I bought it. They seem to be good tires although I don't have much to compare this against, they grip hard when driving aggressively but I haven't taken them to the track to test the true ability. Im sure that the PSS grip harder but I haven't seen a need for them especially since there is a $400 price difference. The tires look like they will last me 30,000 miles and they only look to cost around $600 which seems like a good deal.

I appreciate everyone's input and advice, I think I,am just go for it. I do drive spirited from time to time, but guess I'll find out how they handle when cornering hard.

Guessing you'll be surprised with the handling, but I think they'll wear fast

You mean be surprised as in a bad way? Well for $150.00 a tire I guess I'll take my chances.

    Nexen tires.....

I thought the Cooper Zeon RS3-s was the sleeper tire of the balling on a budget price range? The look wise kinda remind me of those Nitto drag radials I used to run on my 5.0 Mustang many many years ago as a kid.

I gave these a try this year... I've only got about 1500 on them, but they feel good so far. They're amazingly quiet, and they stick. They do hydroplane pretty easy though..

Is it normal for a tire to have a seam going straight across the treads like that? I've never seen or noticed something like that before.

Totally normal. That seam is where the mold clamps together. That excess rubber is when the mold pulls apart.

I ran Nexens with my AMGs in the past and found them to be a good band for the buck. I would burn through a set of rears in a summer practically and they were great for DD. I wouldn't take them to the track, but for the price, I liked them. I don't burn through tires nearly as much with the S4 or I'd probably still run them in the summer....

I have Cooper RS3-A and I love it. So far 20000 miles on it and still about more than half left.
