what else should be changed/upgraded with clutch

Ok I'm going to be replacing my clutch in the next few months along with a light weight flywheel. I am wondering what else should be upgraded at the same time. Should I also do Hydrolic lines, mounts, linkage, short throw shifter, etc. I figure since the transmission is going to be on the ground and I'm already spending money why not do more to make it better. I am not looking to spend a fortune but I am willing to shell out another 1,000 or so to do it right since I'm saving that by doing it myself.

I'm in the same boat as you, i need a new clutch but all of these issues are making me nervous. I plan on doing the clutch, lwfw, fork, master cylinder, slave cylinder, USP clutch line.

Same here. Do all of those, not quite convinced on the master, but slave, clutch fork, retaining clip, and usp clutch line along with clutch and flywheel should do the trick. Is the master due to the issues of not being able to start the car because it doesn't recognize the level of the pedal?

Yes. If i am going to spend $4k-4.5k in parts and labor, i'm going to replace the $230 master cylinder while it's all apart.
JHM LWFW and stage 3 clutch is $2400
    Master is $230
    Slave is $49
    Fork is $50
    Clip - no idea

and i'm being quoted $1400 for labor by the local audi performance shop.

Yeah I agree. Retaining clip is like $5 on ecs. We are being charged an arm and a leg for a clutch set up on this car and for labor. Unheard of on any other platform
