Rear driver side parking light won't shut off

All of a sudden my rear parking light on the drivers side decided it should be permanently turned on, even when the lights are set to off and the car is turned off.

I tried pulling the housing and checking the wiring but it did no good, stayed on. Can't actually see how to access the bulb since its not in the main bulb housing that holds the brake and signal bulbs. So for now i just unplugged the wire that leads to the parking light.

Does anyone have any suggestions on things I could check? There are no faults on the dash, needless to say.

Have you messed with carista or bag-com recently? Sounds like the euro parking lights.

No havent changed anything with vag com in almost a year. And it's just one side that has the issue which is even stranger. The passenger side light turns off like normal.

What do you mean it sounds like European parking lights? Is that a problem people have encountered when tinkering with that option in vag com?

Not really a problem, in Europe the light stays in for visibility when parked. No clue why something would suddenly start.
