Yes! Typically the drop is closer to 1", which is what we see with your average "sport" spring.

Will these rub with a 20mm spacer in the rear and 245 PSS which is a very square tire?

We have customers running 19 X 9 ET40 with 245 tires if that helps. I would say you should be fine with that setup.

Is it a necessity to get a rear sway bar with these? I've heard it's highly recommended...

When compared to stock, body roll will be reduced due to the increased spring rates. A sway bar certainly helps if even less body roll is desired though!

What is the increase over stock if you don't mind me asking? I used to have Eibach springs on my lifted Tacoma, and it was quite a bit between stock (640) to Eibach (729). Was a jiff on the stiff side.

It is ~15% stiffer when compared to the stock S3 springs.

Ordered a set for the S3. Combining them with the already installed 034 rear sway, UBQ and rear chassis brace should be pretty rock solid for the track and comfortable for the road. Can't wait!

Here at Emmanuele Design and Thomas and Ryan are very hospitable and accomodating while they lower the S3.

    Meanwhile, their beautiful project...

Does anyone know the torque spec on the front strut clamp bolt? It's the one with the 14mm triple square head.

Indeed. I wish all the torque specs could be provided for the swap as I'm doing the swap this weekend.

Me too - I actually started install the other night and then realized I really needed the spring compressor since the new front springs are quite a bit longer than stock. You can't get the nut back on the top of the strut without the compressor(s) or a 400 lb friend that's willing to lend a hand (and their weight). Otherwise the install is straight forward and only takes removing 6 nuts/bolts per side in front. I'll PM ED and and see if they know the torque spec.

From Thomas for the 14mm triple square bolt: The torque spec is 70nm + 180 degrees.

    For fronts:
Sway bar end link to strut 18mm nut = 65 NM
    13mm bolts at top of strut = 15 NM + 90 degrees

    Rear:
The ED video and this one from Deutsche Auto Parts are the most helpful: https://youtu.be/WhYAAUWm-6Y
Note that the rear sway end link bolt torque is different between stock and aftermarket. I have the 034 end links and the torque value is higher than the stock bolt shown in the video.

I used an impact wrench like in the videos and it stopped after about 4 threads were exposed above the nut. Matched the other strut before loosening so I felt good about that.

Got it all buttoned up. Took about 7 hours total with a break after the fronts, and dinner. Never found the rear torque specs...hope my back end doesn't fall off.

I finished my install this evening. Drove around for a bit afterward on some twisty roads near my house and I'm impressed. I've never lowered a car before and I was really debating if it was something I really wanted to do. All of the reviews of the ED springs were great and in particular the idea that they actually improve the ride quality was something I had to check out. I figured for $229 it was a no brainer and so far I can say the reviews are spot on. The ride doesn't feel appreciable stiffer and around the corners the car is really composed and the turn in is actually much better which I was surprised by. Perhaps the 034 rear sway and these springs are the perfect match. I'll know better at a track day in a couple weeks. Can't wait for that now!

I measured the fender to ground before install and after the first ride. I have magride and the stock 19" wheels and Conti tires set at 44 psi:
    Before: front = 26 1/2", rear = 26"

    After: front = 26", rear = 25 1/2" (with supplied spacers)

Sounds like they will drop another 1/4" to 3/8" over the next few weeks.
