I've looked everywhere but can't seem to find this... Anyone have a diy or write up on how to safely remove these door trim pieces?

I think they're screwed in behind the door panel or you need to just heat up and pry. Not sure don't take my word but take off the panel and see if that helps

Should be just held on with adhesive tape. Heres a link to the part on ECS. The pictures should help you get an idea of where the adhesive is. There are little guide pins in the plastic but I don't think there are screws securing them from the other side. I think they're there to line the piece up before pressing it on.

Any reason you're taking them off? Replacing a dinged one?

I want to instal black ones for a little different look. I'll go ahead and try that, hopefully it won't be too much trouble, I want to see how black accents/grills pair

mine are just held on by 2 screws, then you are able to remove them off the track by pushing from the front towards the rear of the door. hope that helps.

I think he's talking about the door protectors instead of the door blades. Which are removed like you mentioned

I would just plasti dip them black in their place. Saves the hassle of removing them, risk of breaking them during removal and then you can always revert back to Oem of you want.

I've always wanted to shave these off, but it looks like there are some holes left behind that would need some welding.
