Did anyone attempt this . My dealer tells me that I need new fin antenna because my Sirius radio does not work. They did test I guess with Diagnosis; 02617 011 satellite antenna (open circuit static). I purchased used one from ebay. Please any input will help.

I haven't changed mine specifically, but I did put together a headliner removal thread for my B8 a couple of weeks ago. There may be some slight differences between your headliner and mine being that yours is an allroad with a pano roof, but I think you'll really only need to drop the back portion of your headliner. I assume this would be pretty easy in your case, because you have lots of access with the back hatch up. The second to last picture in the first post of the thread below shows you the antenna from the underside.

I assume your Allroad will be the same as my Avant. It's quite easy to access and remove the antennae. Remove the wide headliner trim piece at the rear edge and you can pull down the headliner enough to access the single nut that secures the antennae and unplug the wire connector. The trim piece is held on by metal spring clips like those shown in the D pillar trim photo in the DIY.
