Repair or replace cracked water pump?

My S4 has been sitting for quite some time and I was starting to get it back in working order, and I noticed the coolant was leaking. I raised the car up and found a small crack on the bottom where the coolant pipe connects. Is this a common issue? Is there any reason why I shouldn't weld the crack (and replace any o rings by the connection) rather than replacing it entirely? It's just where a hose connects, it doesn't appear to be on the housing where any moving parts are. Before anyone mentions it, yes, I know coolant is flammable. The coolant will be drained and the area cleaned before any welding occurs.

Here is a link to some pictures. Excuse the dried coolant all over the place!

Did you even bother reading the full post? I clearly acknowledged this, but it's like you wanted to start arguing/insulting from the start.

He is right. Pure coolant in itself is flammable but once diluted with water tho it becomes significantly less.

Oh nothing don't mind us haha. Which part is leaking/broken? Is it the part where the drain plug is at next to the lower radiator hose? Anyway you can snap a picture to make it easier? I believe the water pumps are made from aluminum, not 100% sure tho.

Nope not trying to argue. Just stating I have yet to see coolant go up in flames.
