New S6 owner

I recently picked up a 2014 S6 for a daily, couldn't be more happy with it! Glacier white metallic with lunar silver interior, aluminum/black wood inlay, black optic package, driver assist/innovation packages, B&O (sadly no sport diff). Almost immediately I took the car to Q Car Care to make the paint as best as possible and as protected as possible - full paint correction, Xpel on the full nose/a pillars/rockers/door jambs/rear bumper strip (by Automotive Elegance), 5x ceramic coating and 35% llumar tint (by Randy @ Tint Works). I won't do much more to it anytime soon aside from vagcom, snows on the stock wheels and then a summer wheel/tire setup for next summer. Until then, i'm just going to enjoy it!

I also have a modded STi (355 at the wheels on the 40k miles stock motor which once that goes it will get a big boy built motor/turbo setup, lots of suspension work, 3 sets of wheels, etc) to have fun with. My wife has a '16 XC90 (awesome car, made me want a new V90 but I'm not willing to wait a year).

I'm looking forward to seeing 1st person what the Euro car world is all about after i've been hearing/seeing/experiencing it for so long. No more "but it's not a V8" comments from my S4/RS4 buddies...

Thanks! Unique is obviously top notch, but i had a few mediocre experiences and decided to try out Q. Ben and the guys over there are much more my style and do some really incredible work. On par, if not better than, Unique in my mind. But you can't go wrong with either.

I'm on 128 most of the time and 93 between there and Montvale Ave or Park Street exits. I'm sure our paths will cross at some point. I ran with a kid in a murdered out B8/B8.5 S4 with exhaust last weekend on 128 in Wakefield/Lynnfield but i was in my STi as the S6 was at the detailer. I wanted to hold up a sign that said "I have a C7 S6 too!". 2 car problems...

Love the color. Never considered a white car until we picked it for the XC90. When i saw the S6 in this color with all the options, it was a done deal.

I'm on NESIC/NASIOC and IWSTI (mostly, build thread there) but i didn't upgrade the diff aside from the cover. The only person that comes to mind like that is Josh (Acejam).

Ridiculously nice. It made me want both a V60 Polestar (too small, infotainment is garbage especially compared to the XC90s, a little underpowered for $62k) and a V90 (still want, just wont deliver for a year, couldnt wait, ~$85k for a Volvo?).

You're talking about 2 different people/shops. same location. Rick jefferies does the xpel at automotive elegance. Rick Nelson does the detailing at unique. I have been using Automotive elegance since the Mid 2000s. Rick J is the man. I just met Rick N last year. seems nice as well. both do great work.

Very good point, thanks. It is confusing with the multiple Ricks, the adjacent shops and the somewhat shared work. Rick Jeffries did a fantastic job with the xpel on my S6.

I do a reverse commute, but that overlaps with part of my trip on 93. We live in Somerville and have a city beater, so I have similar experiences with seeing Audis on the road.
