Hi guys. My wife and I are currently looking at a 2013 S4 Premium Plus DSG with sport diff. Wanted to ask your opinions on this. I know the dealer picked it up from auction for under $28k, it's a one owner, no accidents, 30k miles. The dealer is asking $34,900 for it, it's in okay shape, some curb damage on the rims, minor rock chips. They did just powercoat the rims black, I'm guessing to try and hide the curb damage. This is not being sold from an Audi dealer but there is still 1 year left of the factory warranty. I was thinking of making an offer for $31k. Do you guys think that would be reasonable if the car checks out? I am planning on having a PPI done at a local Audi dealer.

doesnt seem too bad. What type of deals is it? I'm weary of used car dealers. Especially if the car is from auction

Make sure you look at the carfax and also ask to see that the car is free and clear of all recalls

My warranty was done already when I bought my 2012 B8 premium plus DSG with sport diff in March. But fortunately the VIN had a pre paid Audi care 15k, 25k, 35k, 45k attached. I plan to use the last 45k service before the expiration this September. My 2012 had 24k miles and selling price was 32, and change ordered through beepi.com

My friend who's an Audi tech in SF did my PPI out of a friends shop for $100

The dealer is kind of weird. They say they specialize in high end cars, they have several Ferrari's and Lambo's but they are kind of a hole in the wall place.

I did check the Carfax and it doesn't show any accidents, it was serviced at the same dealer that sold the car. Everything seems to check out on that end. I'll have to ask about Audi Care during the PPI.

They won't take 31 for the car. They payed 28K for the car then 500 to transport the car to their dealer. Then cost for them to inspect it and whatever they had to put in it. I would think 32 would be more fair.

You can contact AoA(either via phone or their messenger) with the VIN and they will let you know everything they have on the books for the car.

Well worth the ~5 minutes as it will let you know if the Care Plan was actually purchased, warranty information and any work they have on the books for it. (Or contact the dealer as they have the same info)

I would do this prior to the PPI as if you find something that turns you off the car you just saved some $$$

I wouldn't argue with that price.

These cars are not common and are in short supply. Dealers rarely discount them. BTW, make sure it doesn't have a tune. If it does, your warranty will voided the first time you take it to an Audi dealer and they hook it up to their computer.

Small dealerships like that will sometimes show up to the auctions with a bunch of drivers to drive the cars back they buy. They either have dealer tags or can get a 3 day tag from the auction. My neighbor goes to the auctions all the time.
