2010 Audi A4 2.0T No Idle Rolling Power

Not sure exactly how to describe this other than "idle rolling power". My 2010 Audi A4 2.0T has almost zero power when not pressing the accelerator but it is in gear. A lot of cars I have driven, if in Drive or Reverse, when you take your foot off the break they have noticeable enough power to roll up to 3-5 MPH at least. Not sure if this is normal in this car, but it seems like every single day it feels a little different also, throttle response and delay before acceleration. Anyone have similar problems? It all sounds very convenient that it could be my timing chain is fairly stretched (100,000 miles) and the tensioner needs replaced or something with the throttle body?

Also, as many people mention this with the car, when the car seems to be "misbehaving" (a worse day) there is a strange sequence of events where the rpms go up to 1-1.1k, drop back to idle around 800, then it feels like it catches the gear and starts moving. Has anyone found a fix to this "lag" ? It happens in D, S, or even paddle shift mode. It is NOT turbo lag.

    Thanks!

Is the car a quattro or FWD?

If memory serves another member stated that his was doing what your car is doing and it turned out to be the timing chain/tensioner. You can check it/have it checked by checking the timing, like Scotty explains here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3zyjyVUoe6c

I have this! Noticed it a few months ago when leaving work. I remember the car always wanting to go 6-8kph and wanted to move the second I let up on the brake pedal. Fast forward a few months and I've had a new long block installed. Issue remains, though, oddly enough and probably unrelated, not in reverse.

So glad to see someone else trying to describe this one :) at least I know in not totally nuts haha!
