Questions for those with headers and lightweight crank pulley!

Thinking about these as my next two mods. For those who have headers with an aftermarket exhaust system, did the addition of headers cause more drone inside the car? I know it makes the exhaust louder and higher pitched but does it add any drone?

And for those who got the overdrive crank pulley, how hard was the install and any DIY guides? Also, for those with Stage 2 and the overdrive pulley, what belt do you use?

Yes, the test pipes will add drone. Maybe tolerable if you have AWE touring with Resonated DPs... But not my cup of tea for this car.

You'll want to do more research on the headers. But I've heard real world gains are minimal (if any) and given the $-tag not sure it's a worth while investment.

I thought Primetime or someone found test pipes or HFC was just as good if not better than the cost of the headers.

Waste of money. Save the money and go dual-pulley + cooling, which will see real gains.

FWIW, headers sound glorious on this platform.

Another cheaper option is to run test pipes with a set of 3.2 manifolds. The restriction with our manifolds is the flange that bolts up to the test pipe.It is tiny! I found a set of 3.2 manifolds for $50! And they have a much bigger outlet.
Just another option if you guys didn't already know.

Interesting, so it will just bolt right up? Any of the audi 3.2 exhaust manifolds have the same flange as our 3.0t?
