Died on freeway. Definitely electrical. Now turns over fine but hesitates to rev?

I checked the grounds and they all look good.
    No codes in Vag-Com.
Car was not holding a charge before the drive, but everything ran smoothly once jumped.

Now it turns over, and from what I can tell, it holds a charge.
But the throttle barely makes it blip...

    Any advice is appreciated.

When you say you checked the grounds, what does that mean?

Boost leak... disconnect the MAF and see how it runs.

Will unplug the MAF when I get home and see how it runs.
It should run normally, and give me regular throttle response, correct?

    3 grounds
    - Underneath coolant tank on firewall
    - Rear passenger side of intake manifold
    - Passenger frame rail near front of engine bay

And I ask again, how did you check the grounds? A simple visual check is not enough. Pull out a multimeter and check battery voltage. Should be close to 14. Then check it coming off the alternator. Should be close to 15. You'll want to make sure the ground near the alternator is good or else you'll have issues with everything.

Bingo Disconnected the MAF, and she purred like a kitten. Now to track down the leak. Can't believe I haven't used my leak tester in nearly a year...

Did visual. I am not very good with electronics. So I'd put the positive on the grounding cable and the negative where?

Sorry bud I forgot to check back to the post. So check your battery with a multimeter. Healthy will be close to 14 and above. If your battery is sitting at good voltage then your grounds are probably good. If not, check voltage coming off alternator. Place positive on the positive of the alternator. Put negative anywhere on engine. If it's good, move negative to after ground connection from engine to ps frame rail. If that is good then the battery itself is probably not good.

Haven't had time to break out the electrical gear, but spotted a connector without a nut on it behind the alternator. I think it was the starter? Well that's fixed and the battery got a good charging, so it looks ok for now.
Now to figure out the phantom boost leak....
