Need help with my 2004 B6

Had my 2004 B6 with 74,000 miles on the clock checked out today and was told it needed an intake manifold, right side fuel pump and new alternator. Now this car has meticulously taken care of all it's life and cosmetically is a 9.5 out of 10 so needless to say I am shocked. The estimate was $5,300 which is about half what the car is worth. First off wondering about the intake manifold (anyone else experienced this) fuel pump and alternator I get it. Any thoughts and ideas and where to get parts other than new would be greatly appreciated. Am here in Southern California although my profile says am still in Colorado, need to change that. Thanks

Intake manifold? They are known to make noise. But you deff don't need a new one. Alternator is an easy fix. Just take the bumper / front clip off. $600 part.

Sounds to me that you need to learn how to work on your baby and get your elbows all greased up.
    Was that a dealer quote?
    Or an auto shop?
And please give the name and address of the place so no one else makes that mistake of having there audi ever getting worked on by them.
