Tips on installing Rear view mirror

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
So I was trying to fixate a Broadway mirror to my rear view mirror of my 2012 B8 S4.

For whatever reason, the damn thing popped off. The circlular base and the long pointed cover as well.

I picked it up off the floor and am having some issues getting it back on. Tried positioning in various angles and pushing up while rotating counterclockwise wise, clockwise, all of it.

Is there a trick I'm missing or something specific I should line up first, etc etc.

I was thinking of just taking it to Audi later but I denno if they'll make me go by appointment and try to charge me something.

Similar thing happened to me this morning (new windscreen fitted a couple weeks ago). After a lot of swearing and complaining i noticed that if you start the circular base pointing to around 10:00 or 11:00 and twist clockwise to the 12:00 position, it seemed to do the trick and pop back into place. Saying that I'll probably go to my car in 30 mins to go home and the mirror will be on the floor
