Difficulty getting out of 2nd

As of this weekend I have noticed 2nd gear feels like it doesn't want to come out of gear. I don't want to say sticking but its goes in fine but about 50% of the time it feels like its catching something. I'm curious if it just the shifter assembly out of alignment or something more with the transmission/gears. Also could a bad rear differential or transmission mount cause this problem (only curious because I do have a minor clunk in the rear which I suspect is a rear diff mount).

Also I will add that before this happened I did get on it a little with the car but didn't grind any gears. My car is also bone stock so don't think that getting on it is anything crazy.

You know I was really hoping starting this thread would lead to better news... does it ever go that way with our cars...

I have driven a car with a 1-2 collar issue and it didnt feel the same but maybe it will just get worse with time. Guess Ill get ready for a rebuild
