Roc Euro 4.0T intake update

Ok so I read all of the reviews about the intake taking for ever to get and figured I would roll the dice just because I wanted this intake. Here is my experience for anyone considering this intake.

So I ordered the intake 5 weeks ago. After about 4 days with no order confirmation I called to see if they even got my order. John was really nice on the phone and said it was crazy over there blah blah blah, but was very nice and offered free shipping, and said he is just waiting for filters and he should get them by the end of the week and send it out. I thought to myself great "see this wasn't so bad just a couple of unhappy people on the forums"

Well two more weeks pass and nothing, so I call him again and he says he is shipping it out at the end of the week, but he said this without even asking my name (hahaha, maybe a canned response to all of his customers). So I tell him my name and he says yup shipping label is right here to get ready to go out, ok at this point somewhat hopeful.

Another week and half goes by and call again to find out if he has shipped it, am i going to get a shipping notification or what? He now says he is waiting for tubing???? WTF man! He basically has lied to me like 3 times, so at this point Im not sure what he is doing? If he is that unorganized or if he is taking money from Peter to pay Paul?

Im so annoyed at this point and all you guys warned me and others but of course i thought it would be different.

So just a heads up to anyone considering this intake, it may take two months or you may never get it at all. But I have never dealt with a company or business owner like this ever.

A friend of mine ordered a bottle of Tips n' Lips, and it only took him 4 months to get it. They're only like 3 hours away by car too.

Kind of a shame really... I won't be ordering from there.

well shit. I ordered the intake last night. My card was charged but no confirmation email--funny because you can toss that out automatically. It's sitting in my account on their site, though, so I'm not worried about the order vanishing.

I'd love to update in a week saying "hah, you guys suck, I got mine already". I'd like a lot of things

Sounds exactly like my situation! The first time I called after waiting for 3 weeks and email exchanged they said their system had a problem and ordered weren't fulfilled. He's going to process my order and have it shipped out right than. After waiting 3 weeks with no tracking number I decided to call again he said powder coating machine was down that why they weren't shipped. 6 weeks later and a few phone calls I finally got a tracking number should be here on the 5th. I hope this product is worth the wait and the bullshit excuses.

In general, when modifying cars, it is best to go with known companies with proven track records (no pun intended). As it is, this is a niche industry for Audi vehicles. This doesn't just apply to intakes, obviously. Engine tunes, and especially expensive wheels that may take some time to repair or replace. There are only two intake options I would ever consider at this point; AWE and a simple K&N filter replacement. I did the latter, and found a nice increase in throttle response. It is remarkable how restrictive the stock intake is, especially with the sock that is fitted over the filter. In fact, between the new filter, and the APR ECU and TCU tunes, I have found that the throttle response is vastly improved and comes close to that of my NA Cayman.

Not defending John but I also got my intake within 4 days of ordering it. Yes I was pushing him for over a month since I have a 2016A6 and the engine bay is a little different compared to the 2012-15 , and I wanted him to develop a product for the 2016. He was able to modify the previous product a bit and it fit perfectly. Right then I placed the order (Sunday evening) and since he couldn't ship on the Tuesday he promised, he took care of shipping and sent it overnight on Wednesday. He has openly put out his cellphone # and he responds to text/calls on it mostly within the hour.

I ordered mine, waited about 3 weeks then emailed John asking for a REALISTIC delivery date. I really wasn't in a hurry. It showed up 3 days later.

-No order confirmation, yet CC billed immediately.
-I did get a tracking number.

Def. not the best way to run a business, but I am happy with the product.

I got a tracking number when it was shipped. They also just finished a batched of intakes for the rs7 when I ordered mine.

Actually, I have a Q5 3.0T and no options for full exhaust other than AWE and with a baby on the way didn't want to drop $3k. So ordered a couple magnaflow mufflers and will delete the resonators and go from there. Another Q5 user had good results doing the same. Should be less than $500 all in.

My R-E has shipped and is currently clearing customs in the UK.

Total waiting time was about 7 weeks from purchase to receiving shipping/tracking email.

I know John's had some quality and production issues, but ld rather wait and get the right product, correctly fabricated, than receive an inferior quality product that dissapoints.

Im pretty sure its going to be worth the wait!

Got the email and yes to adjustment followed with shipping. Assembling and shipping, been inundated. Catching up on emails today for a bit then back to manufacturing.

I was a little critical pages back but more towards people that were surprised about having to wait... No one has had any problems with the product from what I understand.

I decided to roll the dice and give John a call early Monday morning...

First of all, he personally answered right away. Seems like a nice guy, told me he was picking a bunch up at the powder coater tomorrow (Tuesday) and could have it shipped out then or Wednesday at the latest if there were any hiccups in picking it up. I'm thinking "Hopefully, we'll see.."
I got a UPS shipping notification yesterday that it was actually picked up and I'll have it tomorrow (Thursday). It's in the air!

So while I don't have it and don't know how awesome it is yet, UPS isn't going to lie to me and I have to say I'm very impressed by John being able to deliver here what he said he would. Not sure if he's just got his logistics better worked out now, but if you've been on the fence here then it might be worth giving him a try. I'm glad I did .. excited to hear a little intake whine like my Golf R has. :D

I had very low expectations as far as getting it right away but can't say I'm not irritated at some of you guys getting theirs within a week of ordering. Hopefully, I get some kind of contact soon.
