    Pretty sure i just got a steal at the junkyard....

    Walked into the local yard this afternoon looking for a side view mirror switch and maybe a steering wheel since I've been somewhat picky about which wheel I will put inside my a6.... It just so happened that a mk7 golf r with 6k miles on it had rolled over and was just sitting in the euro section of the yard.... Entire motor was pulled and the wheels gone of course but 85% of the interior was in there and intact and looks awesome. Airbag was deployed on the steering wheel but its a flat bottom MFSW with the R badge no scratches or anything. I pulled both front seats got that steering wheel and a 3 spoke MFSW out of a b5 s4 and OEM rubber a6 formats. All for a whopping $175... Think I got a deal or what?!?! Haha I got a friend with a tdi beetle that def wants the steering wheel and possibly the seats for his beetle or he might slap them in his mk2. And I even found the mirror switch I wanted too, even has the power folding option but my mirrors aren't... but maybe one day ill swap them out for some power folding and just rewire them up...

    Yeah.. I had the biggest smile on my face stuffing those pretty vw leather R seats into my a6...just wish I could put that R steering wheel in my car or I definitely would...

    Only thing is they bolt down to the brackets on all four corners whereas ours which I'm sure you know are bolted like a triangle....so it'd have to be custom...just drilled some holes in the floor..hahaha!

    that pretty SW needs an airbag anyways, so why not stick airbag cover with audi logo?

    This is something I've never seen before...I honestly went to front desk and paid for parts before I pulled everything.....the wheel in the audi is blue...any word on how many of those are out and about because I've never seen or heard of blue interior on the a4's.... it had blue carpet blue dash and tan leather and headliner...would be nice to slap an audi airbag in the golf R wheel but I sold it and the front seats to my friend with the tdi beetle...

    Some B5 A4s came with the blue interior. I think it was pretty rare (understandably- it's not exactly desirable).
