These look pretty awesome, but I'm concerned with the 3m tape that it uses to just "stick" to the factory covers. I don't think it would take that long for it to deteriorate.

We put tempt strips on the OE covers and they never reached over 180 degrees and the adhesive has yet to show any signs of loosing it's grip.

Thanks for the info, and that's what I was concerned about. It's on my wish list now. Someone else just started a thread on this and questioned the fading/yellowing aspect of it while the temps rise under the hood.

Our Carbon intakes are subject the the same amount of heat and so far we've had very little feedback of any yellowing. As we mention with our carbon intakes its always a good idea to seal coat and wax Carbon pieces with quality carnauba wax for the ultimate UV protection.

You can expect the same fitment and quality of Carbon as our intake.

I picked up a carbon intake and it's yellowing. Granted it was from the 2nd hand market.

Mines yellowing also. Im original owner/purchaser. To be fair ECS did replace my carbon intake after at yellowed. I don't think they have a solution for the SC covers and the heat they are subject to.
