random clicking noise ?

I own a 2013 MT a4 with around 36000 km and every time I turn off my car and engage my parking brake there is an intermittent loud click noise coming from the middle of the car well after the car is off

any idea what this is ?

I have a 2010 MT A4 and I believe I know what your talking about. This sound to my understanding is normal as the system shuts down. Sometimes if I set in my car for awhile with it off and touch something like the parking brake button everything wakes up and makes noises. Other ticking noises may be from the hot metal parts cooling off and any whining noises when opening the doors is usually the fuel pump priming.
