    Washer Nozzle for vision camera???

I have night vision package, it has this little thing next to the camera... Washer fluid is leaking out of it. Is it a nozzle or is it a washer fluid vent??? Please advise before I take it in to the service.

Are you sure its washer fluid on the floor?

The system is not under pressure, until you operate the washers at which point it sprays the camera.

Can you have someone operate the washer while you are watching the nozzle spray?

Yes. Positive on the washer fluid... I can see it slow dripping out of the nozzle. Must be a bad seal or something...

I just went through this (in case you're tracking), here's my solution:
Pop the plastic trim off above the grill, everything is accessible from there thankfully. 3-4 torx and the assembly is off, unclip the hose to get some more slack, move the entire thing up and out. From there I unscrewed the washer nozzle from the camera, unclipped the cable to the camera, set it aside. Wrestled with the clamps that would hold a planet from the grips of a black hole, got the check valve off. Peered inside and it appeared that some debris had made its way through the tube and was causing the valve not to close fully, and therefore the drip drip. Cleaned it out, blew as hard as I could and heard not a single tiny squeak of a leak. Before cleaning it would make some noise and I could easily blow air out.

So, after much fear, it ended up being just fine. So if you have a mystery loss of windshield washer fluid, check for dribbling around the night vision camera if you have one.

As an aside mod "while I was in there" I put a screen protector on top of the night vision lens. Took the plastic surround/trim off, cut to fit, and I have a tiny bit of extra protection. Probably should have used something more substantial that what I did, but it's what I had laying around.
