Party_Martys Build. Keepin it classy with a touch of scotch.

    Hey everybody!
I'm Marty, and you guessed it, I like to party.

Enough with the small talk. I'm a fairly new Audi owner but my passion for Audi comes from childhood and growing up when my father bought a MK1 TT...

My goals with this car is to keep it luxurious on the streets but make it a screamer in the sheets (350whp/350wtq). This is my daily so if its a larger task at hand, I'm forced to do my research until I am positive I can finish it in a weekend. So far I have been successful...Check out my build sheet and let me know what you think!

    A nice youtube pull video:

    A video of the exhaust:

Bought this elegant lady back in the year of 2015 on the 29th of October.

Safety First! I purchased the first aid kit and safety triangle as well as the Audi compressor that fits in with the spare. I will be driving this car A LOT so I want to be prepared for anything.

1/17/16 - JHM Short Shifter Install - It was pretty simple since I had the right tools. Get yourself the upholstery tool kit! You will use it everywhere on the car, not just here.

2/28/16 - China AMI Back up Camera - Definitely a harder task for those with less experience. I have been doing this kind of stuff since I was a kid so popping the passenger side panels and glove compartment and wiring this kit in was only time consuming, but definitely doable. I installed the ECS Catch Can this weekend as well but I'm not posting pictures as I removed it and returned it.

3/5/16 - Painting the brakes. I was going back and forth but decided with Black all around to give the car a very classy/stealthy appearance. Also, I knew I wanted to go with a thinner spoke design for new rims, so I wanted the brakes to be very clean looking, and also make the new wheels 'pop' more. They turned out great!!! This task was once again time consuming, it would be trivial for a new guy but its very doable. Make sure you have a quality torque wrench to make sure your car goes back together perfectly. It took a lot of elbow grease and patients to get it right.

I Sanded them down real smooth!!

3/11-13/16 - Tint and Suspension - Go to a reputable shop and get good esp if your car is black. The coilover system is not for the faint of heart. I had help from two of my brothers so I was lucky. It took me 9 hours to complete but we got all together perfectly. I'm still to this day playing around with the adjustable dampening and height.

Yea, this is quite the tool, I know.

The rear I didn't take pictures of because I was way to in the zone and just wrenchin away. But here she is, all lowered and shtuff...

This is now my winter setup. I have ECS Spacers for this setup, 15mmF/20mmR. I love the stance and really I wont be sad when I switch to my winters because
A: It looks sexy as hell
B: I love driving in the snow!!!

3/25 - New Wheels - Dyno Day - Alignment - I took it over to get stock numbers before I start bolting up all sorts of upgrades to see what MY car gains.

I made a very respectable 200whp and 247wtq. I'm proud of those numbers!!!

Shaved off 5 LB per corner...

Shout-out to Jason Tung at GetYourWheels.com. Hit him up for your wheel needs!!! He hooked it up!

Update 5/21 - Kick Comp-S sub installed in the OEM location along with a Kicker Amp.

I also routed a remote Gain Controller to the Glove box so I can turn up/down as I go depending on the music. It really is a great touch and worth it IMO.

Initial thoughts...well the lows are crazy loud, like they sound great, but personally I didn't want to go this loud. The mids and highs are barely there and that's what bugs me. I listen to all types of music and I want the sub to be crisp and clear. I believe this to be due to the fact that I'm using the trunk as a "enclosure". I ordered a custom box from BASSER from Poland haha. I'll update once i've installed and tuned.

Sound System Update: BASSER sub-enclosure installed and it fixed the problem, all bass is now tight and crisp and I can turn it down to be "just right" for my taste

034 HFC and CTS downpipe installed. I definetly like the setup. It gives the car a nice sporty sound. I can hear the turbo spool sooner and I can feel the car pull a little harder. It seems like a smoother/harder pull. I would highly recommend having a second guy help out. It made things go much smoother and faster.

    Update 6/30 -
Treadstone TR8 intercooler back ordered, should recieve sometime in July hopefully.
Go Fast Bits DV+ installed, I want to say I feel the boost come on a smidge sooner but its hard to tell, noise is the same. I mainly did this to be able to hold the higher boost from going stage 2.
Stage 2 will come once I install the IC...

    Update 2/8/2017

-TR8 has been on the car for a while. I went with GIAC at first (stage 2 or 1+ or whatever) but was not satisfied (esp since they cannot code 2nd O2 out) so I went with what everybody else does and got an APR stg 2 tune. Much more aggressive and I'm happy for now.

Here is a dyno pull after the stage 2 tune.

Of course when going stage 2, its inevitable that you will need a new clutch sooner, esp if you like to drive 'spiritedly'

    Update 4/24/2017

The brembo brakes, SS lines, and Adams rotors are a huge improvement. I am so thrilled with the feel and the braking power.

7/19/2017 - Just going to add by adding comments, editing the first post is a hassel haha.
