The exhaust is a Billy Boat system. I think they are 4" tips but I can't remember. I'd have measure them but they barely fit in the valence :)

Not yet but I'll work on it. Billy Boat makes a great system for the avant.

Suspension got a nice adjustment this week. I was never really thrilled with the ride height of the Avant B12 pro kit. The car had a terrible rake and the rear end sat almost 3/4" higher than the front. Too much rear wheel gap for my taste.

Some other Avant guys have been having some luck creating a hybrid kit with the sedan sportline springs and bilsteins. I figured I'd give it a shot because I'm not ready to leap into coilovers. I scored some brand new sportlines from another 'ziner who happened to have an extra set (thanks @NLPed68 Ed!). The results are awesome. Far better stance, and the ride quality is only slightly firmer than the original pro kit springs. Nothing jarring, just REALLY planted.





I also tossed the CR-15 on for a little more steering precision. You can't beat the price, and it's a noticeable improvement to steering feel. This thing drives like a dream now.

Haha! That's a tough one. I guess it depends on how often you are doing salt runs :)

Small update, but one I like a lot. I recently discovered it's possible to swap HVAC control panels from B8 to B8.5. The FL units come with a nice white LED display, chrome knobs and a piano black face. Only a few adaptations + CP removal are needed to do the swap! Very nice compliment to anyone who's done a 3G+ MMI swap!

Nice find! Makes a lot of different. I like that they replaced seat heater knob to a button style.
But in my case I have ventilation and seat heat. How does that control panel look like tho

Yes, looks much better! The seat heat buttons and chrome dials are nice. I'm not sure I follow your question though. Which control panel are you referring to?

So these arrived today. Found a set of black s-line roof rails, icing on the cake for this conversion to black! Now if I could just find a used headliner ... all of the other parts are ready :)

Thank you! Been pluggin away at it. I believe the part numbers for the rails that Gunnark100 posted below are correct. I forgot to take a picture of those before the install.

That's awesome you guys were able to meet up. I love allroads and their fender flares and his is no exception.

Me, @CONative and @A4Centaur need to connect sometime given how close we are to each other.

Would be really cool to get all these avants together. Camp allroad would be a trek for you east coast guys, and I heard it may go even farther west next year. Good thing there's Audizine and Instagram.

Awesome - thanks guys. As expected, they ain't cheap. Probably cheaper to just dip or refinish the silver ones. Cheapest i found was ~830 shipped.
