Sorry should have prefaced this! This is actually the old silver set I reconditioned. The other set should go in later this week when I can get a hand with the sunroof.

so how do you think it actually came out? quality wise? where it has had time to cure. will it hold out long term, has the dye faded yet at all?

Overall I am really satisfied with the entire kit. The headliner is a 10/10. You can't tell that it was dyed and it still has OEM tactile quality. The painted pillars have a slight texture to them now, but they look very OEM in my opinion. No fading at all. Dye-NA-flow is supposedly lightfast, so I'm pretty confident it should hold up for a very long time and once it's in the car I doubt it will see much sunlight anyway. I think that the duplicolored pillars should hold up very well long term as well.

If I hadn't already invested a bunch of time and money into sourcing my first set of parts from Europe I would absolutely be throwing all of this into my car. Fun experiment—I'm hoping someone may be interested in the hard work I've put into refinishing all of these parts.

That's a good price. When I compiled my list of OE black parts needed, it was well over $3k. If I still had my black allroad, I'd probably be taking this off your hands.

Still eyeing those avant roof rails too. I just have all my roof rack stuff set up for raised rails.

Thanks man, I feel it's priced fairly considering the time and supplies I've invested in to finish the parts. And you're right, all those OE black parts add up quick!

Having to change your rack set-up would be a bit of a drag but probably not too bad if you could find some used carriers. I saw a set of OE avant carriers for sale in the classifieds not long ago for super cheap. Not sure if they are still available though. You're AR is looking nice!

Playing around with some branding. The idea came from @johnnySV, I just cleaned it up a bit in illustrator and tossed it into my MMI splash. But I could see this working well as decal and a t-shirt too!

Finally got around to installing the RS4 spoiler I picked up several months ago. It's an eBay unit I had painted and installed by a local body shop. Super pleased with the results!

Thanks Gunnar! We used a urethane adhesive. It's heavy duty stuff and the usual protocol for auto body shops. Snug fit, good alignment, paints a perfect match.

The damn sunshade is in! It's fully operational after some cursing and tweaking. A little more time is needed to get the rest back together, but the hard part is done.

Definitely used. No way I was buying these new. The best part is that they are the black stitch instead of contrast stitching so it matches up really well with my sport interior. So hard to find!

Chris, do you think any of the dye products you used would be appropriate for dying the stitching on a shifter? I've been looking for facelift auto shift knob with air leather but it seems most I come across have the contrast white or grey stitching, and my car has black stitching throughout.

I think you can order a facelift air leather shifter with black stitching from Europrice, but I was hoping to save a few bucks by finding one elsewhere. May just bite the bullet and order from Eurorprice but thought I'd ask since you now know your interior dye products!

Shane, I suppose you could carefully spot dye the stitching with a small foam brush and dye-na-flow. But I would want to test it first to make sure it didn't mess with the leather.It's very runny ink.

I actually bought my black stitch air leather shifter from Alex at Europrice. You get the best variety with him, but it comes at a premium.

Cool, good luck! Headliner went in today smooth as butter. Pillars and ceiling trim bits hopefully by the end of the weekend with some real pics next week.

Headliner conversion is now complete! Caution this post will be image heavy : ) I've included some detailed shots of the new headliner, shade and trim pieces along with some of the other fun things that have been updated along the way. The interior is now completely facelifted excluding the NAV. Total transformation!

Props to @bakedziti for his Informative B8 headliner how-to. While the avant has a few differences it was still very helpful. Pics below. Enjoy.

Seeing your interior makes me realize how badly I need that gloss black MMI cluster surround...
