EPC light came on, and disappeared

So Friday evening, on the way home, my EPC light came on. Car kept driving fine without any issues.

I called the dealership from the car and they asked me to bring it in on Monday to have a take looksee...

The thing is, I had to make a stop at a store on the way home that same evening. When I got back in the car and started the engine, the light was gone.

It is now Sunday and the light has not come up since. So my question is: should I still take it to the dealer? I'd like to avoid these morons touching my car if at all possible....

    Thoughts?

Get a Ross tech cable or something to read and clear codes. Ross Tech is more specific with codes.

The codes should most-likely be stored even if the EPC light went away. If you're under warranty, you might as well bring it in and see what they say.

I just went through this and had it fixed under warranty. It was an oil pressure sensor, I was getting the warning "Do not exceed maximum engine speed of 4,000 RPMs". The light would randomly come on when I got on the throttle, but the fix only took the dealer one day to do.
