    Mystery part

Does this belong on a B8 S4, and if so, where?

(For scale, it's probably 10" wide)

Had the front bumper cover/carrier off today for an EPL stage 2 upgrade. This part was basically laying inside the bumper cover on the driver's side, near the bottom. For the life of me, I can't see where/why it would fit somewhere nearby.

Went back together without it, but extra parts are rarely a good thing.

2nd owner, no previous mods or major service that I know about but a few other little things make me think someone has had the front clip off before...

Sure, that's where it would have to come from. Can you be more specific? I see no attachment tabs or obvious clip locations. The shape/curve didn't seem to match anything in there either.

It's directly behind the side intercooler, glued on the fender Liner.
I guess someone pulled the liner too far back and it separated.. Maybe has something to do with airflow from the smic

I saw this when I had my front bumper off. I was really tempted to take an art knife to the honeycombs and open those holes up to allow better air flow through radiator beside the wheel well. I cant' see it getting good airflow...

I've thought of this when I had the stock FMIC, cutting the trim and adding a vent on the liner like the 911s didn't seem like a bad idea.
I guess Audi has its own reasons for keeping it shut so I just got the upgrade.

They're open on some of the RS models (maybe all? Haven't looked...)

If the aux rad was right up against the liner I would, but its not. The lines and supercharger coolant pump are there and the tires would kick up a tone of road crap with no where to go.

Amz looks like it's all FI RS.

Covering whatever that can be corroded and setting the fins at a certain angle can reduce the gunk going in but trying to make a custom vent has a huge fail potential lol.
