    2003 Audi A4 1.8t fwd , car was into the shop to diagnose a misfire . car stutters/bogs under heavy acceleration. ( MISFIRE IN CYLINDER #1)

    Already tested:
    Coil packs
    Spark plugs
    Injectors
    Fuel pressure
    Fuel injector wiring
    Wiring harness from DME to ignition coil
    Fuses and grounds

    Mods:
    FMIC
    test pipe
    stage 1 flash
    aftermarket injectors

    Have you physically swapped the coil pack and injector from cylinder #1 to a different cylinder?

    With everything you have replaced and the misfire stays with the #1 cylinder it's time to run a compression test on that cylinder.

    still is misfiring , mechanics spent 10+ hours searching say it could be my Eurodyne stage 1 ecu and i should replace it, would this cause these issues??

    I really doubt it would be a tune issue if the misfire is consistently on the same cylinder. If the mechanic is sure it isn't a a plug/wire/injector/compression issue it may be a faulty ignition driver in the ECU Clicky click.




    The ignition drivers are pretty cheap. Here's how to remove/replace a chip from the ME7 controller. The ignition drivers require the same procedure.
