Pillar boost gauge pod

I see the vent pod and the steering column pod. Was just curious if anyone has a pillar pod. The steering column pod i think would annoy me looking at my cluster

The reason the B6 a-pillar gauge pod market is so anemic is due to the airbag that would violently shoot gauges at you.

Yeah i read that aswell. I personalky think the pillar pods just look cleaner. Maybe ill retrofit something myself

I think you will be very happy with the center mount pod. It blocks very little of the speedometer and is in a very easy position to read while driving. The Podi pod gauge blends in very well with the rest of the gauges. My personal opinion is that a string of A pillar gauges belong on a pick up truck or Neon.

If you want to fabricate your own lower A pillar mounting location read this: Clicky click® This is low enough on the A pillar that it may not interfere quite as mutch with the side air bag.

Yeah i do daily drive 120 miles monday-friday just for work. Into queens ny..maybe ill stick withcthe steering column gauge lmao

What a coincidence, i drive round trip like 100 miles a day to brooklyn and the city. pretty much impossible to avoid getting hit by some idiot once a month...

If you get in a wreck so bad that your bags deploy...the airbag to the face is probably more of a concern than a boost gauge.. just saying

You out on long island ? Im lucky i leave east longbisland around 5am and take the lie to the cross island to the white stone expressway into astoria so at that hour there isnt tooo much traffic

Yeah Dave, the airbag itself is dangerous too but that compared to basically a high speed hard plastic/metal projectile is a little more concerning in my eyes. Makes me think of that mythbusters episode when they test the lethality of a tissue box in the car in the event of an accident
