Problems With VCDS Lite With Windows 10? Anybody Else Having This Issue?

I have looked through the internet and Audi forums and have not been able to find my answer. I have been using VCDS Lite for years and have never had a problem with using my cheap 409.1 cable for anything. I am now trying to reset my airbag light because I just switched seats and am getting an error. It reads "To Many Communications Errors To Continue". It is also saying that the session is unreliable. I have changed nothing on or in the car but did upgrade to Windows 10 on my PC. Is anybody having any issues with Windows 10 and that version of VCDS Lite? Is there a fix for this issue?

Can't you run it as a different operating system via compatibility mode?

This is why i never switched from Windows 7, 8+ is just "beautification" at the expense of functionality that no one asked for.

I had a similar problem.
Have a Dell Venue 8 pro I use for VCDS, flashing with Nefmoto, and logging with ME7Logger (visual logger).
It came with 8.1 that worked fine, but upgrading to 10 borked it. I couldnt get it to work so hit the revert button and sticking with 8.1.

I am not having issues with VCDS lite and ebay cable on a Lenovo windows 10 upgrade.

How does it work for engine module? What are your settings in options like? Blk int?

It communicates fine with the engine module. I am just having issues with the airbag module communication and reset. It will not communicate and gives me the same error?

VCDS Lite is limited in capability. With that message, you have reached the Lite's ceiling. Have you considered upgrading to a licensed version?

i am running vcds on a win10 tablet with no issues.

I have the licensed version and it still has the same issue. Is it a bad module? What could be causing this issue? I have no experience with VCS, this is my second B5 and I never had to use it with my last one. I only have OBDII knowledge

If you are licensed I would reach out to rosstech and see what they suggest. They technically don't support the cable but they are good at what they do and will probably help you out.
