P R N D S all lit up

Hello all.
Can anyone tell me what it means when the
P R N D S are all lit up?
It won't shift lower than 3rd gear, even when stopped. It will shift up to higher gears though.

What could all the possible causes be?

You my friend are in limp mode.
Your car has detected a serious transmission issue and has put you in "limp mode" to get you home.
Time for a scan.

might want to review your transmission warranty

My bad guys...jeez. yes I had already done some searching. Just like a bit more of a personal response especially with how old some of the posts are. But thanks I guess.

Not entirely sure what more you would have wanted? As the guy posted above there are 113 threads on the topic, it's more than likely your problem falls under those. Not going to get a more personal response when all the info is already out there and none of us are there looking at your car.

Razgriz, you need to scan your car mate. Only then can we be sure-ish of anything.

I've had this happen to me once in the cvt. It went away luckily for me. But the fix is to get the TCU changed to a new one it's not easy as its inside the transmission
