need help with a job

so at least someone can have some sympathy on me

first of all i know this is car stuff only and not job stuff
but i have come to a point where i will ask for help from anywhere/anyone
the worst that can happen is this be taken off... at least i tried

i know i cant be too picky but i would rather stay in colorado
if its possible the thornton/denver area

i was in the oil field and got laid off last october due to oil prices
i've searched every job site and no luck
everyone wants experience... which i dont have too much off
i have a degree in mechanical engineering
if you know of someone or are in the position of helping out

Mark, I was in your same position last year when I got laid off from the oil field as well. It is hard to get back into the oil field unless you are willing to take a massive pay cut and honestly be out of work for weeks at a time.

Due to being in the service part (Frac) I picked up driving a fuel hauler till prices come back up. Not a bad job.

Since you have a Mech Degree I would honestly look into some of the bigger name guys like Northrop Grumman, Boeing, and lockhead. Even take a gander at skunkworks (lockheed martin company).
You can probably also try RK mech and GE.

All the help I can give. I am trying to get back into school to finish my EET degree so I can get picked up at skunkworks since My uncle runs the division

I'm in the ahl bidiness and, while some companies are certainly hurting, there are others who are doing well even in this ~$40 dollar environment, with low debt levels, lots of dry powder, and good strategic plans. I expect hiring will pick up at those companies, as I think everyone believes we already saw the bottom (~$26) in oil prices.

1)Driving a Bulk/Pump-truck, i do have my CDL. rigging up/down to/from the well head. hope i answered that question right
2)I was a field operator III, (cement). tho i did have my degree i was working my way up to an engineering position
3)i was with Baker Hughes up in Brighton
