So this piece's bushing failure caused my tire to wear weird and eventually come apart. I'm pretty sure that this is it, but wanted to make sure. It looks easy enough to replace, anyone ever try? Also, should I do both sides at the same time, or does it matter? The other side isn't degraded like this one. And would it cause weird tire wear like this?

Since it's easy enough to change, you don't need to both sides unless the other one is starting to go.

I did this last weekend and it took the clunk out of my suspension. Takes less than an hour to do both, so you might as well. A jack will help with aligning the pieces. You just have to unweight the side slightly and play around with the height. A couple inches of body lift should do. Maybe half a pump of a good jack.

But it shouldn't cause funky tire wear unless you are also out of alignment.

And last thing, there are 2 different fasteners used so just be aware of that.

I'm pretty sure my alignment is biffed a little. I'll keep the fastener thing in mind too, so you did it with the wheel on? I ordered both sides, they were cheap enough.

Yup, wheels on, turned slightly towards the side you are working on. What you can't see in the photo is the jack behind the wheel on the cylindrical lift point.

Sway link removal step by step if you hear a clunking noise that is most likely your cause the uneven wear could be the suspension check the control arms for play
