well I disconnected the battery to do my thermostat, when I went to hook it back up I thought I had no radio at all, then I discovered I had a radio , just no display for it as it started playing once I pressed the buttons.

did the output test on vagcom and get sound everywere but there is no output on the segment test .. is it new radio time ?

I did take the radio and reseat everything and look for anything abnormal , nothing, but I did notice two factory connectors hanging loose behind the radio. they weren't part of the multi connector , just two double pin connectors one wire brown and the other wire grey with a blue stripe, again two of these. one at the left side of the radio and one at the right. for an option I never got maybe ?
