2013 S4 front brakes missing the S4 logo

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I bought my car from a private party who had the brakes changed back to stock from a BBK. I just now recently realized that the front brakes don't have the nice S4 logo on them (see attachment for example.)

I tried looking on some Audi OEM parts websites and couldn't find it. Is this just a "plate" that I can buy from the dealership? Anybody have some info on them? thanks

Show us your caliper. Does it look like a plate can be attached to it? Maybe the previous owner removed them for some reason.. kind of like how people de-badge the emblems on the trunk.

Are you sure he put the stock calipers back? is it possible he mounted some 3rd party garbage instead?

that logo wears off over time, it's very easy to remove, brake kleen takes it right off.

2013 S4 front brakes missing the S4 logo

    "Using my S5 as reference"

Mine are super dirty from winter & have the faded look on my S5, 75k on my 2010 for reference.

I'm guessing they can be cleaned perhaps without stripping it off? If you have the plate don't they sell OE stickers you could put on the plate at least?

Anyone recommend anything I can scrub them with that won't strip off the "S5"? I assume it's probably cooked on there good. I need to get in there soon and scrub my two piece drilled rotors & get all the dirt & salt residue off. Yuck now that I took this picture it's now bothering me lol!

I clean the the car weekly and the the wheel cleaner doesn't remove all the grime in there. A nice gloss black caliper refinish would be nice as well.

For cleaning the calipers and stubborn brake dust try Adam's wheel cleaner. You can buy the new version at afamspolishes.com or the old Adam's deep wheel cleaner on Amazon prime. I've only used the old stuff from Amazon. Absolutely amazing. Smells bad, but works very well. You'll need a small brush to lightly agh iguana once the cleaner turns purple. Then rinse and they'll be squeaky clean.

Did this Adams wheel cleaner work to clean the brake caliper plate? I know its an old thread but not many threads on cleaning these plates. I just got my calipers painted red but the plate still looks dull. Any help or suggestions is appreciated. Lets revive this thread shall we :)

Alternatively, I've used P21S gel formula on cleaning my wheels and calipers and the S4 logo still looks great after over 100K miles. If it's good enough for Porsche, it's good enough for my S4.

The plate is press fit on the caliper. Just pry it off and refinish it. Rattle can it whatever color you want. Buy a decal from ebay, apply, clear coat and press back on the caliper.

This^ and I love my Sonax wheel cleaner. Takes brake dust right off. I bought the bottle (sprayer is top notch), then purchase the 5 L bulk jug off of Ebay.
