    Mirror replacement how-to?

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I have a B6 and somebody clipped my passenger side mirror. I will want to update both mirrors with the S4 chrome mirrors which I'm gonna get as entire assemblies.

Does anybody have a how-to for replacing the current mirrors?

    Thank you all...

Thanks -- this shows how to do the covers and the glass -- but what about if you need to replace the entire mirror including the support that's on the door? Mine is damaged at the hinge, including the hinge and attachment to the car.

You have to remove the inner window trim to access the nut and stud holding the mirror to the door. Then the wiring needs to be removed from the hold downs inside the door.
