The perimeter is actually aluminum you mean right? Is your window trim aluminum or Do you plan to get it wrapped eventually in black?

The aluminum perimeter may flow better with your window trim if you have the standard aluminum window trim.

That said the all black will look good too. Personally preference really. Both will look good, see what other say take a tally lol.

I had a hard time finding a higher quality grille with the aluminum outside trim other than eBay ones.

I wanted the USP because it fit the best from reviews, as well as it came with the rings on it, so you don't have to mess around with removing yours and breaking them. ALSO the big thing was it came with the plastic cap to cover the aluminum part behind the bumper. I did not want to mess with spray painting anything or plasti dip. But like i said it only came in the all black version for the B8 at least.

I know you have a B8.5 but this is the cap i was referring to. It also is known for a really good fit, the one from USP. They have one for the B8.5 but oddly i don't think it comes with the plastic cap for behind the bumper.

I just got the rs style grill for my 2012 S4 had to build custom braket for the small thermostat that was in the old grill.

Where are you guys getting the little trunk lip for the S5? All the one's i have ever come across say A5 only. I believe the S5 has a slight more upwards hump on the trunk lid. Sharing is caring! :)

Oh ok sweet! I missed it as i was on mobile. Wow only $29 not bad. Id have to get mine sprayed because black would look off on my Deep Sea blue color. Can't imagine it would cost much to paint a little strip.

All aluminum or all black. I wouldn't mix the two. The all aluminum looks great on misano . If you decide black, then you'll need to black out the fog trims too. Go for Nate's grill, it will look great.

Down by the fog lights, those plastic covers pop out that surround the fog light. There is plastic aluminum trim surrounds that can be popped out and trim painted or plasti dipped. They would stand out if you went with a all black grille. You can even buy them black already done for about $40 i seen from some euro parts page. But you can just use a can of trim paint or plasti dip them if you want the option to remove the black down the road.

I see what you're saying....I agree that if I went with the latest black grill then painting the aluminum trim around the fog lights would be a good move....but if I did the black grill with aluminum trim then I think leaving the fog lights trim as aluminum would be a better option...do you agree?

I decided I'm going to go with the chrome trim/black grill. What is the finish on the black grill....is it a gloss or matte?
