    B5 daily build. Slowly but surely

    Been a long time vortexer for my VW's. New around here. Found vortex moves very slowly for the b5 forum. Lots of cool stuff around here. Thanks for that. So I thought I would post this here.

    So I picked up this avant from a buddy for the wife. She has since moved on to a bigger SUV. I sold my MK3 and took it over. I have been slowly modding it as its my daily. Anyways on with the pics.
    When we got it...

    Blacked out stockers

    Couldn't stand the pre-facelift.

    Blacked out grill

    Did some detailing

    Idk why the purple. Don't ask. It was short lived.

    Changed em up

    Then finally as they sit now. Silver winter wheels.

    19's for summers

    Picked up coils. Haven't got em on yet.

    Picked up ko4. Just installed it. Waste gate on ko3 was wasted.

    Did intake and built a box for it at same time and forge splitter.


    Got rid of 4 spoke.

    Color matched the euro plates and did a customized flush mount 10" sub on the driver side disc changer panel in the hatch and upholstered a pillar boost gauge. Chain just done I'll have to get pics of that. But that's it thus far.
    MK3 when I sold her.
    And my MK2 just to share

    Here's the sub. Cleaned car today. Going to do coilovers this week.

    I don't understand. The front has an inch and a half left of turns and its slammed. The rear has half an inch left and it still has some gap? Why. Gonna go all the way down on rears tomorrow and up on the fronts a bit. Front looks awesome but it's not gonna drive anywhere.

    No pics but just replaced all front end suspension (control arms sway bar links etc.) and did cat back exhaust. Xs racing stainless. Pretty happy with it. Also got fogs in. Pics soon.

    All I can say is I was going to rip on you hard for not getting a decent drop. After 5 minutes of page loading, I realized you indeed got coils. It was BADLY needed.

    Looks good so far. Any power mods?

    Wow good to see you turned it around from the purple and 4x4.
    Curious as to why the hres are winters and tsws summers. Besides sizes seems ass backwards. Car looks great now

    Refurb from hell. Idk what brand they even were to start with. One had crack on back barrel and the rest were curbed and pitted to hell on lips. Got em for free liked the look so I decided to put a little elbow grease in them. Got creative wit center caps.

    Thanks. Probably not too much more as its a daily. Tint, driver lower seat repair/replace. Anyone know the name of that color? Chip, rs4 style grill, front lip, maybe s4 sills and skirts, pretty much just keep it clean.

    Oh ya, needs new tail lights, they have some cracks and new mirror glass, has those heat marks.
