Audi Connect Account with T-Mobile, any other available options?

I have received an email from '[email protected]' as:

We hope you are enjoying your Audi 2015 Audi Q7 with Audi connect® powered by T-Mobile®.* Your service subscription will expire on May 19, 2016.

To continue enjoying the beneficial state-of-the-art features of Audi connect without interruption, please click here to renew your wireless service from T-Mobile for as little as $15 per month and keep your Audi 2015 Audi Q7 connected.

Now, on this rate, for 30 months, I'll end up spending = 15*30= $450 and this is a huge amount. I have checked the other providers like 'Truphone' pre-paid sim, but as per the new changes, Truphone is moving their services from T-Mobile to ATT.

At this point of time, it doesn;t look like I have any other option left other than using Truphones 2g capabilities.

Any assistance on this front will be gretaly appreciated as I don't want to pay $450 to T-mobile :(

It should work using ATT sim card, just ask them for an iPad sim card. I would start with a small data plan in case there's any issue with compatibility.

There is a freedom pop SIM card that I think will work. It seems pretty reasonable. Google freedompop

i did the freedom pop method, make sure you downgrade on all and use only the 200mg free per month. You can get up to 500mg when you invite friends. Read it on slickdeals. net SIMPLE!!!

I received my TruPhone SIM yesterday and never can get a signal. If I insert the OEM SIM, I get a few bars and the 2G lights up. Like many others, I don't want to may what Audi charges for data, so I'm trying alternatives. Unfortunately TruPhone has no reception on my 2013 Q7. I will order the Fredompop SIM next and cross my fingers.
