    Stiffen things up

OK well with 102k on my car things are starting to feel sloppy. So I plan on changing out my motor mounts with the 034 street density, the transmission mount, and the billet inserts. I have read lots of reviews on the billet inserts. And they look promising. But I can't find a review on the transmission mount for the life on me. Can I get some input on it. I'm ok with it being a little rougher. I enjoy spirted driving. But I want some honest input. I'm also looking at doing brakes all the way around.

I cannot overstate how much of a difference the drivetrain inserts made in my 6MT. Completely transformed the car.

Are you 6MT or 6AT? The street density mount is awesome in @lambda13 's 6AT, but @blbroo hated it in his 6MT. @allroadcorbin is running the motor mounts and seems OK with them. Also, Eurocode makes identical inserts which are cheaper. That's what I have.

No, he has a strong dislike of those motor mounts.

Street density will make you hate your car. The insert kits are a must, though. ECS has a set too.

I hate the 034 50 durometer engine mounts. The NVH is terrible. But I'm an automatic so the car is always in gear while idling... On a 6MT that's not the case in traffic. Yea it stiffened my drivetrain up but if I could do over id buy just new OEM ones

Would you say is it worth is to install all three or just some of the inserts like only 1 and 2?

Do all of them. Trans mount is a must, it makes a massive difference, and the diff ones are a noticeable improvement too.

In that case the street density trans mount is pretty awesome. Big improvement in Lambda's car.

That's good to hear. I don't understand why you don't like the motor mounts though. What is NVH ??

Vibrations and cabin noise pretty much. It makes the whole car shake at idle. I've been in Corbin's car and it is noticeable.

You may want to start with 034's Drivetrain mount insert package. You'll definitely notice a marked improvement with minimal NVH. I currently have this kit in my '10 and it definitely made the car feel more stable. Better linear acceleration and just feels a little more connected with the road.

My understanding in regards to the engine mounts is the 034 solid rubber design, though improves stability, def amps up the NVH. The OEMs were designed with those gaps/fluid filled to combat NVH.

It all depends on what you're after TBH. If you're planning to track the car quite a bit, I'd def reconsider. If it's your DD and you have passengers on the regular, I'd stick w OEM motor mounts.

    Just my 2 cents

I have the full setup on my car. It sucks at idle but great everywhere else, ive gotten over it since i dont idle or get stuck in stop and go traffic. I'm 6mt, I've been thinking about removing the trans insert and seeing if it will reduce nvh at idle.
