Do you guys have any issues with the angle/pressure of these things? My left sprayer shoots off the left side and over the roof. The right also fires over the roof and a bit left.

I imagine they're adjustable. Somehow. Any tips would be appreciated.

I took mine into the dealer for a wash and just asked them to adjust the nozzles while they were at it. Easy enough.

I did the same and my dealer made it worse. You can adjust them yourself using a needle or other small implement placed into the mouth of the nozzle and adjusting it to your liking. It takes a few tries to get it right.

Might be a bit of a broad statement, no? My dealer does a hand wash and I have had no issues so far. Once the weather actually gets a bit nicer I do the washes myself.

A hand wash with the rags from a whole day of washes. I'll pass no matter what they use.

I take mine through automatic cash washes. Hand washing is nice but my time is more valuable.

Agreed. Say no to dealer wash. They scratched the hell out of my instrument cluster.

I used to spend great amount of time caring for the finish on my cars (even my first beater). It was fun and I carried my head high with an air of superiority and took great pride. The funny thing is how the perception of what is important changes with time. I grew up, got smart, found love, starting making a small difference in the world with my work, and began taking in piles of money. Even though I still love working/tinkering on the car, I don't spend many Saturdays doing the wash/clay/wax/seal/etc anymore, not because I hate doing it, but because life is so much better when you can chill out on the little things like this.

Sure, there is always a chance the dealership employs a very conscientious professional who uses a fresh mitt, soap and water.... but in reality the chances of that are slightly more favorable than winning the lottery. It happens, just not to me. I always tell any dealership "Thanks, but please do not wash my car". Even if it is just a DD, I like my stuff looking nice.

Get a ceramic coating and you wont have to do all of that crap ever. Just wash it and call it a day.

Since you are such a "baller", why not have one of those mobile detailing places come wash your car at work while you are "taking in piles of money"? :)

I guess I hit a nerve? Since you asked, yes I am in the military. But I'm also not special, and most anyone willing to sacrifice, work hard, and use some brainpower can do my job. The military paid for my education, then paid to train me as a pilot. I now fly large aircraft all over the globe, and definitely do not see any part of my life as a failure.

Bottom line is that while detailing cars and having particular rules about the way you treat it is fine, you shouldn't judge others simply for not seeing those steps as vital or even necessary.
