Pre-facelift front bumper fog light fitment questions

Hey AZ, I have a few questions about fog light fitment. I heard from a friend that there isn't a difference between pre-facelift and facelift front bumpers besides the fog's of course. Is this true? Is the shape of the bumper's any different?

And in the end should I fit my existing bumper or go grab a facelift one out of a junkyard? I have located one near me in the correct color.

    Thanks a ton.

If youre set on running lower fogs, best bet is to get a facelift bumper with fogs and grilles. The pre facelift A4's never had lower fog lights, so there arent any mounting points and the grille openings are a different shape.

check your existing bumper for the mounting points tho, both of my pre facelift cars must have been in accidents and had facelift bumpers installed so my fogs literally bolted right in on both of them.

I think some late pre-facelifts had the mounting points for them. What year were they?
