You sure you really cleared it in Vagcom or Carista?

If the MMI is similar to the 15 A8 you can only clear the oil service indicator with the MMI. You need Vagcom or carista to clear the service indicator.

Carista app with the right OBDII adapter. They have a single use charge to clear that.

Yeah, but Carista and the dongle and the one time cost might be $20-30 and it can do other things.

Carista and an ODBII adapter can be had for <$50 and will do the clearing.

I would see if you can meet someone from here locally to clear it.

That, or the dealership might do it. However, it might be worth avoiding working with them since you are flashed.

Just FYI you don't need their adapters, you can find cheaper alternatives depending on your phone.

Oh, and sign up for their beta program so you don't get charged for resetting the service indicator.

What about Vagcom? My cell phone is a basic flip-flop type and I have no intention of getting a newer phone (hardly ever carry it anyway).
In the final seconds of your life, just before your killer is about to dispatch you to that great eternal darkness, what would you rather have in your hand? A cell phone or a gun?

LOL, man how old are you like 100?
Life has taught me never try to make something idiot proof, they'll simply come up with a better idiot.
I'd agree with you but then we'd both be wrong.
I have neither the time, nor the crayons to explain this to you properly.

If your a do it yourself type then in the long run the Ross-tech cable is the way to go. the service warning and the E-Brake release will pay for the cable. The cable is good for testing and logging engine issues as well.
