New Release: MQB Audi A3/S3 Quattro Rear Subframe Mount Insert Kit

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!

034Motorsport is pleased to present Billet Aluminum MQB Rear Subframe Mount Inserts for the MkVII Volkswagen Golf R & 8V Audi A3/S3 Quattro!

MQB Audi/Volkswagen vehicles equipped with Haldex AWD use rubber rear subframe mounts which deflect under load, causing the rear end to feel vague and loose, as well as leading to less-than-optimal suspension geometry and increased understeer. These precision-machined billet aluminum inserts are designed to fill voids in the factory rear subframe mounts, and limit subframe movement without sacrificing ride quality or introducing any perceivable additional noise, vibration, or harshness into the cabin. The result is a more refined, connected driving experience, as well as improved effectiveness of aftermarket rear sway bar upgrades and suspension components.

Designed to work in conjunction with the factory rubber mounts, this insert package was engineered using CAD software and thoroughly tested and refined to provide a significant improvement in handling performance and feel.

These inserts were tested extensively by 034Motorsport and independent Audi/Volkswagen enthusiasts before release on new MQB chassis AWD vehicles. Installation is very simple, can be performed in under an hour, and is completely reversible.

    Features:
    • T6-6061 Billet Aluminum Construction
    • CNC-Machined In-House
    • Clear Anodized Finish for Durability
    • Engineered to Fill Voids In Factory Rear Subframe Mounts
    • Helps Maintain Proper Suspension Geometry When Cornering
    • Reduces Rear Subframe Movement During Launches & Acceleration
    • Improves Shifting Feel, Resulting in Crisper Shifts
    • Virtually No Additional NVH Transfer Inside Cabin
    • Easy, Straightforward Installation

    What's Included:
    • 034Motorsport Billet Aluminum MQB AWD Rear Subframe Insert - Front (Pair)
    • 034Motorsport Billet Aluminum MQB AWD Rear Subframe Insert - Rear (Pair)

    Installation Instructions:

    Fitment:
    • 2015 - Present Audi A3/S3 Quattro (8V - MQB)
    • 2015 - Present Volkswagen Golf R (MkVII - MQB)

Please Note: The factory rear subframe bolts are torque-to-yield bolts, and we recommend replacing them when installing these inserts. A new set of four OEM bolts is available separately.

Please feel free to send me a PM or email if you have any questions!

I just so happened to drop the S3 off at my tuning shop this morning for a DSG fluid flush and free upgrade to the latest APR revisions, they told me they had just got these inserts in stock and wanted to do an install on my car to see how they fit, so they didn't charge me any labor for them.

Will update with first impressions after the drive home today

Took the long way home to put the car through it's paces a little after the DSG flush, newest APR revisions (high-outout map picked up another 10hp & 20lb/ft tq), and the 034 inserts.

All of it worked together very well, the revised power delivery and fresh-fluid-DSG-crispness was very nice. I could immediately feel the rear end just felt more "planted" though, more sure of itself. I couldn't detect any extra vibration in the cabin at any speed and I have BFI's engine, transmission, and dogbone mounts.

I did a few soft launches (no LC) and this is definitely the difference, the rear end had a tendency to get this numbness if you floored it in 1st or did a hard launch and that's completely gone, it makes the car feel more confident in hard acceleration. Going to the next open track night on Friday the 6th if the weather holds, looking forward to seeing how the car feels with LC after these inserts!

Good question! There are four inserts (two pairs) included in the kit. They are designed to limit movement of the rear subframe by acting as a mechanical limiter for the stock subframe bushings. The factory mounts allow for a substantial amount of movement under load (launches, acceleration, shifting, cornering) which results in a disconnected feeling from the rear differential, and affects suspension geometry as well.

Our insert kit still allows for enough movement to minimize NVH transfer into the cabin, but limits the maximum vertical movement at each of the four corners to provide a more crisp, connected driving experience. You can see the difference in movement in the video below.

We have more in the works for the MQB platform, which will be released in the coming months!

Wow, that was some awesome timing! Glad to hear you could get them installed so quickly, and that you're enjoying the upgrade.

in the instruction it says to replace the bolts as these are stretch bolts. I am planning on seeing if can get ARP bolts to replace instead. what are the bolt specs so I can look for ARP ones.

Unfortunately I don't have specs on the factory bolts handy, but the part number is N10715901. These bolts aren't problematic, and there won't be a benefit from replacing them with higher tensile strength hardware. Also, the collar on the bolts is meant to fit nicely into the recessed feature on our inserts, which may make it hard to find ARP hardware with the same fit.

Just placed my order as well based on feedback from HurrayFive. Going to order the BFI motor and trans mounts as well to get the drivetrain locked down.

Yeah buddy, get after it. Those BFI mounts in conjunction with the 034 inserts and the Eurcode rear chassis brace make the car feel RS+ territory in terms of structural rigidity and overall "rawness", without rattling your teeth out. Night & day compared to stock, enjoy!

I'm very sorry for the delay with shipping your order! If you ordered with bolts, then we'll be contacting you via email shortly. New OEM stretch bolts are on backorder from Germany, which has delayed a number of orders. Unfortunately no ETA from the factory at this time.

Thank you for the continued orders! These inserts are back in stock and ready to ship. The new factory bolts are still backordered, but will be available soon.

Will you be holding back shipment of orders until the bolts are available again?

You don't need to replace the stock bolt for the dogbone mount with our insert. These bolts are for the rear subframe mount insert. Hope that helps!
