First issue ever with my 11 Q7 3.0. I am the only owner. Temp gauge pegged high and alarmed with message to stop and turn off the engine. Well, hell ya, I stopped the engine. small amount of coolant coming from under right wheel well area. When i was able to check the coolant reservoir it appeared full. Started the car again with no issues or messages but as soon as i started to drive the gauge pegged and alarmed again. Had it towed to local dealer and now waiting.

after some google research i discovered that the thermostat and or coolant pump are common issues for this motor; can anyone confirm this with a similar issue and does Audi have a recall for this crap? German engineering shouldn't about ruin my motor at 40,000 miles on an audi care serviced car. VERY ANNOYING. What is a reasonable repair cost?

s4s with the 3.0t engine, the thermostat has a high fail rate. Crappy audi design has it failing closed so the car over heats.
