    Apex ARC-8 size/face choice

I'm in a bit of a dilemma here. I'm about to buy some Apex ARC-8 wheels and I can't decide which size to go with (yes, I will be getting them redrilled). Here are some suspension specs:

BC racing coils, 16k front, 14k rear (one of three different coils I have)
    SPC adjustable front arms
034 motorsport spherical front sway bar end links
    Stock sway bar up front

034 rear adjustable upper control arms
    034 adjustable rear tie rods
034 adjustable rear sway bar end links
034 rear sway bar and brackets

Stock hp2 calipers. I don't mind having to shave the calipers.
    Steel uprights

So pretty much everything on my setup is adjustable.

The suspension alignment I will be aiming for on the street:
    Ride height front = 25.5"
    Ride height rear = 25.625"
Toe in = 1/32 front and rear
    Front camber = -1.75
    Rear camber = -1.25
    Front caster = ~4

Tires I will use will be Michelin Pilot Super Sports
I will be tracking the car occasionally, mostly hpde. 95% will be spirited road driving. Canyons, mountain roads, etc...

Here's the problem. I want to run the ARC-8 18x9.5 et35 with 245/35/18. I do not like a lot of poke, I do not like a lot of stretch. Mild stretch is ok and I want less than 1/2" of poke, flush would be preferable. I like the 18x9.5 et35 because of the concave face and the ability to run more meat in the future. I do not want any rub either. I will not be rolling the fenders. Will these rub? Especially under hard cornering? Will they poke further than I like? I know some run these sizes already but there's no definitive word since some seem to rub and other don't. I've gone through the entire wheel/tire thread. I can get aluminum uprights if necessary but I'd prefer not to.

The other option is to go with 18x8.5 et38, with a 245/35/18. I'm fairly confident this will fit and not rub but I won't be able to fit any more meat in the future, the face is much flatter, and the weight difference is only a few ounces. I don't completely dislike the flatter face but I would much prefer the concave face.

    Concave face 18x9.5 et35:

    Flat face 18x8.5 et38:

    For those that tl;dr:

Will 18x9.5 et35 with a 245/35/18 with Michelin Pilot Super Sport fit at 25.5" gtf front and 25.625" gtf rear fit without rubbing or poking a bunch or rolling the fenders?

    Or

Would 18x8.5 et38 with a 245/35/18 with Michelin Pilot Super Sport be a better option? My preference is the 18x9.5 though. I'm assuming most will tell me to go with 18x8.5 but if the 18x9.5 even has the option here I'd rather run that.

    Thanks!

People run that setup quite a bit here I think. Lots will run narrower tires though.

I'll try to get you some pics of my car on 18x9 +35 with 235/40.

I've definitely seen people on here who run the 18x9.5 et35, just not many running the tire size I want like you said. I wanted to get wedssport sa-67r's which are 18x9 but they're unfortunately discontinued and they would have fit perfect. So now I have to choose between 18x9.5 and 18x8.5. I definitely don't want to go anything smaller than a 245 width. I looked up 235/40's on the pilot super sports and the 235/40 section width is 9.5 while the section width on the 245/30 is 9.8. Obviously wheel width with have an effect on those widths and I'd like to stay as wide as possible. I want as much contact patch as I can get. 245/35 also gives me a bit smaller diameter than 235/40 with a similar stretch which should help with fitment. I could be wrong though.
