My car is equipped with Audi drive select, and I just installed Air suspension so now I have a suspension fault light on the dash, so basically what I am asking is if there is a way to delete that like the kit from KW without spending 600 which is likely just resistors, so my questions are

    1. Is there a way to tell if they use a resistor

    2. if they do is there a way to put a multimeter on the wires and check resistance to tell what resistor is needed

    3. has anyone found a solution for this problem?

People have tried resistors and hey didn't work.

There has to be a way to code it out, cause most don't have ads.

People just spend the $400 for the deletes and call it a day.

there are all different wattages and resistances, chances are they just did not choose correctly

and I'm sure there has to be a way to code them out, I emailed davidb8 the guy who started the audienthusiasts.com website, he is the coding guru but he has not yet responded

anyone wanna open up there deletes and see what's in there lol?

i am assuming, because I don't actually know, but there has to be way to code them out using VAG COM because you can retrofit adaptive struts into the s4, and code it so that it comes up in MMI, i am guessing there is a digit difference in one of the modules

I would assume it can be coded out since it's an optional part. The trick is finding out which byte to change. You'd start by telling us which model and year Audi you have.

It should then be possible to pull the "ADS enabled" info from scanning the correct module (Central electronics?) in VCDS on your car and asking someone with a same model/year without ADS to do the same and compare what is different.

A post on VW_Vortex claimed it may be Central Electronics, byte 8, bit 3 changed to 1 to enable and 0 disable ADS. But someone there replied it didn't work, probably because Audi moves the bits around per model, year, revision of various modules, etc.

If I get a moment today I'll throw the VCDS on and see if there's anything obvious in there for ADS enablement. Probably a scavenger hunt but worth sharing with the community if we find it.

I don't recall where exactly, but I do recall there being an "easy option" (aka it's labelled in VAG-COM) to code in/code out adaptive suspension. It is there, you might have to go hunting for it though.

Ok, I took a look this morning in VCDS in the central electronics module long code and it appears that Byte 9, bit 3 is labeled as "Magnetic Ride Suspension Installed". I'm not much of a VCDS coder but this may or may not be ADS. VCDS only has some of the bytes labeled and some are not.

What I did notice was that a given feature like wipers, lights, suspension, etc tend to have their settings bytes (and bits) appear consecutively/next to each other. So, even if byte 9 bit 3 isn't it, it's probably one of the other bits on byte 9 or a nearby byte.

If you have vag com and want to try some stuff, let me know. We need to know your model/year and probably check the module number as I suspect the bits are most closely tied to the version of the central electronics module.
