I'm back...Finally...

After getting rid of my RS4 back in 2010/2011, I've had a few different cars. Some, to save money, and some for more convenience as a daily driver.

Well, after 5 years...I finally purchased a really nice 2013 S4, premium Plus Quattro with 29,000 miles on it. I love it! I actually like it more than my 2009 M3 that I owned for 3 years. It's well-refined, responds well to corners and just feels like an expensive car. I can't believe I went over 5 years without owning an Audi...but, I'm glad to be back in the family.

Different...but, first take is...RS4 was much "meaner," but the S4 is better for me at 42 years old. More refined. Not as loud. I loved my RS4...but, 2007 technology is more noticeable years later. LOVE the ride, and it appears longer then the B7?

I can see that.
The B8 S4 stock is quite "tame"... with some proper mods it gets dialed in quite a bit more... the SC motor will never compare to the V8 but they are both great in their own ways.
B8 is for sure longer... but I don't think by a ton.

My Mod days are over...I just wanted something that was sub 5 seconds, and had 4 doors that was comfortable to drive to work every day. I have had a thing for Audi's since living in Germany in the 80's, and then, when traveling on vacation last December...visiting many Audi dealerships while there.

I love the looks as well. Absolutely thrilled to get this car for $31,000.

Yeah...why? you're not going to tell me it was in an accident, are you? I had a similar experience with my RS4...a random message asking me where I got it...and, then showing me pictures of when it was nearly totalled.

No, I just recall seeing the combo (blue, alcantara, tire brand, DSG, non-MMI) on the lot when my sister was shopping for a car.

I said the exact same thing when I bought mine... Was the reason I bought the car actually - I came form a heavily modded A4 and wanted something fast that I would not need feel the need to mod... and then... ... lots of simple relatively inexpensive upgrades you can do that make a huge difference...

Given you are on an enthusiast forum posting up your new toy I'm willing to bet it will be only a matter of time

That's it!! I wanted Nav/MMI, but wasn't a big deal. They had it on their lot for $35k, then $34k...ended up working the deal out for a week.

Another Blue. Couple new ones here recently. Looks great. Now polish that baby up and remove those swirls and she'll be very sharp. All in good time I'm sure. That's the fun part of new cars actually.

When I was about 32 years old, I bought an 03 Audi A4 (B6) and after 6 months began spending $10k in upgrades...for an upgraded turbo, to FMIC, sway bars, exhaust, tuning, wheels, etc, etc.

I enjoyed it. It was fun watching the transformation. I sold it to a guy on the forum...who lived in Canada.

When I purchased the RS4, I simply added some DPE's and a coilover system...

At this point in my life, I would make some very modest changes...but, for me, my money is better spent in other areas of my life...and, having my Audi back puts a big smile on my face. I've been a member since 2006, and learned a lot...met some great guys and certainly enjoy being a part of the community.

If Tampa gets together for a car show...I'll be there!

I'd consider some other wheels, perhaps, in the future...and, maybe a re-tune...but, that's probably it for me.

I wish my car "responded well to corners" sorta feels like a heavy boat w/ moderate body roll but deceiving because the electric steering causes it to feel lite and nimble through the wheel until boom body roll - i know i know I'm just a mod or two away from fixing that issue.

Beautiful car OP and I really love that color. The b8/.5 really is such a good vehicle.
