It would only be likely to slip if the clutch pedal was to tight with not enough free travel before the throw-out lever contacts the throw out bearing and begins to press on the clutch pressure plate spring. The problem with excess free travel in the pedal, is that the clutch may not disengage completely with the pedal pressed all the way down.

It is likely the clutch is not disengaging completely with the pedal pressed all the way down, causing the RPM to hang for a couple of seconds before the clutch releases fully during gear shifts.

So in that case what do you believe is happening. is this healthy for the clutch or should i mess with it?

Has the symptoms existed since the clutch was replaced, or did it start happening at some point afterward? If there is to much pedal travel before the clutch begins to disengage, that can provoke the RPM hang during gear shifts.

The clutch hydraulics and the clutch pedal vs the master cylinder function needs to be checked for correct operation and adjustment.

Bleeding the clutch hydraulics would be the first task to do, then see if the clutch pedal free play is reduced to normal free travel.

The excess pedal free play before the clutch begins to disengage, is likely due to air trapped in the clutch hydraulics, requiring air to be removed from the clutch hydraulics by bleeding the system thoroughly.

Your rpm will hang if the clutch switch isn't being activated. I bet with the extra free play the pedal isn't actuating the switch properly. Fix the free play and you'll fix the rev hang.

Also check and make sure your overcenter spring is in place.
