    confusion on my A5

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Hello! So i have a 2013 Audi A5 coupe, but it is not quattro. I believe it is FWD. But a friend of mine told me that it is a RWD. Does Audi make RWD cars? And he said that my gearbox is DSG. I have the normal 8 speed tiptronic with drive select. Does that mean that I have DSG ? Also, he said that my car has electronic dampers given that I have the drive select as well it changes the steering stiffness and suspension. I know the steering stiffens when I change to dynamic, but I am not sure of the suspension. Does it change? I got my car used so I do not know what came with the car except for the exterior and interior (eg; alcantara sport seats and etc)

If it's not Quattro it's fwd. You have the tiptronic 8 speed tranny and Audi drive select dampens your suspension.

Call AoA and give them your vin and they can email you a digital copy of your original window sticker. That will have everything your car has listed on it.

You can also use a vin decoder

ok thank you. Thats what I thought. Is the tiptronic a good gearbox? S tronic is better right? and tiptronic is not DSG right?

Use the search feature my friend! AOA is Audi of America. Your is on the side panel of your driver side door. Call them up like @14S4GWM said and it should answer all your questions.

Guys, the OP is from Brunei. Calling AOA won't help him even if he decides to spend for long distance.

To the OP, contact your local Audi office and provide them with your VIN#. They should be able to tell you the car's full features and specs. As far as I know, if it is not Quattro, it is FWD.

If your local Audi office cannot or will not help you, look for the build sticker in the warranty booklet or in the spare tire wheel well in the trunk. It has a list of production codes printed on a white sticker that's around 6" x 8". Get the codes and plug it in this online decoder, VW & Audi PR Code Search. It will spit out a lot of your vehicle's installed features.

Unless Audi manufactures differently for Brunei, his ADS did not come with suspension dampening. You only get the steering and throttle adjustments.
....don't listen to your friend. He doesn't seem to know much about these cars if he thought an Audi was RWD.

haha i know right. he said its a RWD, the gearbox goes all the way to the back blablabla. In my head i was like er no? Audi only makes FWD or AWD. I am die hard audi fan hahaha I just started working and only can afford a used A5 coupe. low mileage and good condition car and it was a good deal for me!
