Engine Mounts blown to smitherines check it out

Finally got round to changing my engine mounts to the 034 Density line and APR snub mount.

    This is what I found.

The nuts were both detached from the mount itself. They were completely collapsed, with rubber missing on the top half. Both bone dry (fluid from coolant)

Got some wear on thoes ones I had some pretty blown mounts (tranny and motor) I got few issues from my tranny mount being completely blown out tranny would rattle. When I took apart I noticed my passenger motor ear had cracked also one broke of one of the mounting posts for the snub mount bracket.
I replaced both ear and oil pan but might want to check around the motor make sure everything is fine I'm pretty had with my car tho so it's most likely my fault lol

Yeah MUCH more power and The turbo sounds a lot different.

0 to 60 in like 2/3 seconds. Turning at speed gives a more confident feel. No engine vibrations. Handling is really smooth, sporty and responsive.

I'm still getting a wobbling sound under the car when braking from higher speeds and accelerating on uneven roads, which must be something to do with the suspension or wheels. At least the engine mount problem is eliminated.

The rear's are bold but no sign of uneven wear.

Must be something to do with the control arms or upper struts?

I have never seen OE engine mounts come apart like that before. It is very unusual in any case. Do you drive on rough roads frequently?

It's only been driven on UK roads, never off-road. There are some pretty bumpy roads in London. The snub mount snapped off due to a dodgy mechanic who removed it to install a downpipe around 1.5 years ago. He only put two bolts back into it. The snub mount snapped off about 6 months ago and the engine mounts were already in bad shape. I think driving around with a snub mount contributed to the damage of the engine mounts, but it's still pretty substantial.

Yeah, no snub mount will allow excessive engine motion on the mounts. I agree with you that is the cause for blowing the mounts out like that.
